Advent Sunday Evening Service at St. Annes’ Church – 6-30 p.m. A warm invitation and wonderful music. Sunday 29th November

GUILD NEWS  The Guild meeting is on Tuesday 24th November at 7.30pm in the Hall. Margaret Christison will speak about Caring creatively for bereaved children. All welcome

Poinsettias will again decorate the church from Sunday 13th December. The cost is £4 and Margaret Huggan will take orders.

Parcels (wrapped and marked "Male" or "Female") for the giving tree can be brought along on Sundays 6th and 13th December. They are then given to the Bethany Trust for distribution to the homeless.

Christmas Choir: calling all who would like to get together to sing carols in the service on Sunday December 13th…rehearsals will be at 10.30 am in the Stables on Sundays 22nd and 29th Nov, 6th Dec, and in the Church on 13th Dec. All welcome!

Spott Community Association Invite you to an Open Afternoon to view the newly refurbished Spott Village Hall, On Sunday 22nd November, Between 1pm and 4pm.  Refreshment and home baking.

You are warmly invited to the West Barns Village Hall from 7pm-8pm on Sunday 29th November for an interactive prayer event.  We will be praying for our community and the wider world.  There will be prayer stations around the room to engage with.  All welcome.  Further information available from Hazel Gray (This email address is being protected from spambots. House Group:  The next House Group meeting is on Thursday 26 November at 8pm at the home of James and Dorothy Wildgoose, 7 Westpoint, Dunbar.  Anyone interested is invited to attend.  This is the second meeting of the planned 3 month trial. GRAEME GLOVER: Son of the Manse, who saw his life turned in a very unexpected direction, and now works with us here at Belhaven and Spott…who is he…and what does he believe?

 

David Ratheil:  Pursuing his post-graduate studies at St. Andrews, he comes to Scotland and looks at the people and the church with different eyes. How has he found us…how has he found the Church?

Reverend Mark Nicholas: A man with a mission and a unique style of ministry. How has that vision caught on in Gorebridge and how has the church at large coped? We need to know!

 

Lindy Lynn: A teacher for three decades, she has seen enormous change and upheaval in education policies and practice. How good are our schools these days, and how good do our teachers have to be to cope with the changed environment?

Ian Robertson:  Station manager of East Coast FM, he has been involved in the music business, the highs and the lows, all his working life. What has it been like and where is it going? The pitfalls and the possibilities- and the toll it takes.:

 

David Torrance: from China to North Berwick, his life has taken many turns, and he has an amazing story to tell of faith and challenge across ninety years of life and ministry
